Jose Farinos
Born in Valencia (Spain), Jose was interested in art from an early age. Art classes in Middle and High School, and years of technical and figure drawing cemented his passion for art and architecture. Jose graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami’s School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. After graduate school, Jose started his own architectural practice in Valencia. In 1992, Jose moved with his family back to Florida where he joined Indian River State College as a professor of Architecture, Engineering, and Graphic Design. After eight years of teaching, Jose was named the Dean of the Advanced Technology Division, which included programs such as Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Architectural Design, and completed his academic career in 2017 as the Vice President of Applied Science and Technology.
