Mickey Rudolph

I have always been fascinated by bodies of water. Their ever changing moods, colors, and reflections. Shorelines are like snowflakes, each one is different.

My art is a compilation of  my childhood memories of 1940's and 1950's.   Long Island ,  my service with the United States Coast Guard and world wide travels as an investigator and consultant.

I paint in a style that I call " American Contemporary Impressionism meets American Realism".   I am a primarily a studio artist but never without a camera and a  small sketch pad.  My subjects are centered on  water; IE Coastal Seascapes, bays, rivers and vintage watercraft.  Humans and animals are secondary but always purposeful never gratuitous.

I work with a assortment of mediums but most of my work is with slow drying acrylic and water miscible oils.
